Searching for some caas (Hey, my brother literally parks his car in a Harvard yard (well, lot, anyways): we have no Rs here) to post. I don't know anything about cars. I know they go vroom (actually, they don't but that's what their supposed to sound like, I guess), and that they come in many different colors. Also, there are wheels - hopefully four. And perhaps an engine, or some sort of converter? & also... fan belts.

That is the sum total of my automotive knowledge.

My nephew, on the other hand, has been able to tell me the make of a car since he was two years old: "No, Auntie, that's not a Toyota... It's a Ford." or "Auntie NTE, if you look at the hubcaps you can tell the difference." (This is not true... I had to check the dictionary to make sure I was spelling hubcaps correctly: if I were to look at them, I would not be able to differentiate between specific kinds.)

And while I never had a toy car in my life, Youngest Nephew has enough to transport the entire population of his Little People village.

Since he used to get one everytime we went to the drugstore... I'm sure you can imagine how quickly he amassed a complete collection. Here's some of them close up:

And here, he's trying to convince my Mum that he is ready for the real thing.

I mostly believe him... I think he could probably do it.

At least better than me.

Happy Week, Everybody!

I almost posted a picture of a toy car. It's a miniature version of the car I actually posted a picture of.

Great shots. Toy cars were popular this morning and so were crashes.

Your nephew sounds like my son who threw a fit because the local McDonald's was out of CARS toys for his Happy Meal.

Thanks for visiting my picture.

I'm sure he can drive better than most of the people in DC. :)
